Leadership Accountant Role

This is a high-profile leadership position requiring an accomplished and seasoned accountant to direct our financial operations.

The Position
  • We are seeking a results-driven accounting professional with extensive experience in managing daily financial activities, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Direct and oversee all financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate management of company assets.
  • Compliance Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on all regulatory matters. Ensure accurate and timely filing of all required returns, handle reconciliations, and manage any audits or departmental queries.
  • SAP Business One & SQL: Take ownership of the finance module in SAP B1. Utilize advanced SQL skills to develop custom financial reports, create complex queries, and work directly with the SAP backend to extract and analyze data.
  • Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory regulations, including TDS, TCS, Provident Fund, ESI, and other requirements under the Companies Act.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements & Skills
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within a private limited manufacturing company in India.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (CA / CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1). Proficiency in SQL is mandatory for developing reports and working on the SAP backend.
  • Functional Skills:
  • Deep expertise in Indian GST laws, including all aspects of filings, compliance, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Ind AS, corporate law, and direct/indirect taxation.
  • Attributes: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership qualities.
