Job Overview

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively, thereby safeguarding the organization's financial integrity.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. To conduct control testing as an integral part of the Control Monitoring Program, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
  2. Adequate application of company policies, procedures, accounting standards, and seeking advice when necessary to ensure alignment with best practices.
  3. Evaluating risk and testing internal controls through an understanding of key business processes, recognizing opportunities for enhancements and improvements.
  4. Determining alternative solutions to problems, evaluating courses of action, and making sound business decisions that drive organizational success.
  5. Preparing accurate workpapers that describe review objectives, test procedures, and results, facilitating informed decision-making.
  6. Developing and understanding the SOXHub Tool (AuditBoard) for work responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  7. Fostering teamwork and collaboration to achieve organizational objectives, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  8. Supporting and monitoring controls remediation efforts, driving continuous improvement and mitigating potential risks.
Qualifications & Technical Competencies Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
  • At least 1 year relevant experience in Risk & Compliance or Internal Control role, finance experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
