Cloud Data Pipeline Engineer

Job Description

An SRE with expertise in data engineering will manage, maintain and troubleshoot cloud data pipelines. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in cloud data engineering, cloud platform services and data pipeline architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain and troubleshoot cloud data pipelines
  • Leverage software engineering skills to optimize data pipelines and enhance their reliability

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in data engineering support and enhancement
  • Proficient in cloud platform services (GCP, Azure, AWS etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architectures and ETL processes
  • Excellent Python programming skills for data processing and automation
  • Excellent SQL query writing skills for data analysis and experience with relational databases
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues
  • Software engineering experience in optimizing data pipelines to improve performance and reliability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
