ERP Analyst

Job Overview:

Our shipping company aims to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety levels while reducing costs. To achieve this goal, we are seeking a skilled ERP analyst to prepare documents, understand client requirements, and provide input to our development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Analyze various aspects of our system (maker manuals/exported data from other ERP systems) and other modules to create documents as per need.
    • Understand and document client needs.
    • Identify gaps between user requirements and our system features, providing input to the development team.
    • Test and check functional aspects of developed modules, producing desired reports/outcomes.
    • Contribute to training internal/external users on our ERP system and related modules whenever required.
    • Develop software-related documents (software feature documents, help documents, FAQs, workflow documents, etc.) as per the requirement of the team.
  • Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:
    • Visit vessels for implementation/issue fixing and training purposes.
    • Assist vessels in data collection processes and update our system data onboard.
    • Train shipboard personnel on using our system and other modules, including database backup and system recovery.
    • Provide support to vessels/remote offices for our ERP system and related modules.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3rd/4th engineer or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as an ERP coordinator/controller with an educational background in naval architecture and marine engineering.
  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise computing needs of ship management companies.
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
