Senior Data Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our data engineering initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, mentoring senior engineers, and engaging directly with clients. This position involves building a holistic roadmap for our data warehouse offerings, solving complex data modeling challenges, ensuring smooth delivery of features, and applying modern marketing data suites.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive large-scale data initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 Sr. Engineers
  • Drive client communication, requirement gathering, and roadmap planning
  • Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies
  • Conduct PR reviews & guide best practices
  • Strong documentation & communication skills

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with 4+ years leading teams
  • Strong coding expertise: Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience
  • 5+ years in cloud-native, data-intensive applications with mandatory AWS expertise
  • Proven experience in Data Warehouse design & development using modern DW tools
  • Hands-on with Databricks and dbt (mandatory)
  • Expert in Airflow (workflow orchestration)
  • Strong experience building & maintaining Spark applications

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerization
  • Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation)
  • Exposure to observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
