Job Title: Software Developer - Core Platform Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Java professional to work on the core Codify platform, expanding its use to build new digital applications. The ideal candidate must be able to understand development and product requirements, design and implement solutions on the platform, and transform the core platform to support microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with business analysts to analyze project requirements.
  • Synthesize and model business requirements with existing and new application functionality for changing business needs.
  • Develop enhancements to the platform to meet project objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings with other members of the engineering team.
  • Work with information security teams to deliver a secure platform.
  • Work with cloud operations teams to effectively communicate the requirements of various services to be used.
  • Debug applications deployed in a cloud environment.
  • Support sales teams with product demos when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Background and hands-on experience with Java development.
  • Working knowledge of Spring (Spring Boot) and/or Hibernate.
  • Experience working with MVC framework (JSF is highly desirable).
  • Broad familiarity with existing standards-based open-source projects.
  • Experience in building microservices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS), and experience working with AWS environments.
  • Tomcat (or similar web server).
  • Experience working with Git for source control.
  • Relevant experience in software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgres SQL experience.
  • Working knowledge of Drools Rules Management System and JBPM or Flowable (highly desirable).
  • Experience/knowledge of working with React/Angular JS (highly desired).
  • Experience/knowledge of working with Maven builds.
  • Experience/knowledge of building Docker containers and deploying them to Kubernetes (highly desirable).
  • Experience/knowledge with RESTful service architecture.
  • Experience in SCRUM or other Agile methodologies.
