Overview

Our team is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to lead the migration of data solutions from Azure Synapse Analytics to SQL-based systems. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with strong SQL expertise and experience in backend development.

  • Develop and optimize solutions to migrate data and processes from Azure Synapse to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability, security, and data integrity.
  • Apply best practices in data modelling, indexing, and performance tuning.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration/ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in a backend programming language such as C#, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
