Strategic Technology Visionary

The Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology future of an organization. This key individual will develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, blueprint, and roadmap, ensuring it is fully aligned with business objectives.

This bridge between business leadership and IT delivery will translate business needs into scalable, efficient, and future-proof technology solutions. They must drive strategic alignment and identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage.

• Strategy & Governance:
  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture strategy, principles, standards, and reference architectures that support the overall business vision.
  • Create and socialize technology roadmaps that support business capabilities and long-term goals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Establish and govern EA review processes to ensure project and initiative architecture aligns with overall strategy, promoting best practices and minimizing risk.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for their potential to create competitive advantage and make informed recommendations.
• Design & Analysis:
  • Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, driving digital transformation.
  • Lead the design and modeling of implementation-agnostic future-state architectures for key domains: Applications, Data, and Infrastructure/Cloud, leveraging expertise in multiple architectural domains.
  • Conduct 'buy vs. build' analyses for major capabilities, ensuring optimal investment and vendor selection, and providing guidance on integration strategies.
  • Focus on integrating core systems, including ERP, POS, OMS, CRM, Supply Chain & Logistics, and E-commerce platforms, promoting seamless interactions.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
  • Collaborate closely with Leadership and product management to understand strategy and translate it into architectural requirements, driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to solution architects, technical architects, and development teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Lead architecture review to ensure cross-team alignment and effective communication, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively, using clear and concise language to facilitate understanding.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in an Enterprise Architect or Chief Architect role, showcasing expertise in strategic planning and execution.
• Proven experience and a strong understanding of retail processes and systems, with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Demonstrable experience in developing enterprise architecture artifacts: roadmaps, principles, blueprints, and standards, driving strategic alignment and informing decision-making.
• Expertise in multiple architectural domains: Application, Data, Integration, and Cloud (Azure/GCP), with a deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and SOA.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and SOA, as well as experience with large-scale ERP systems and their integration into a broader ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and execution skills, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions.
