Senior Cost Management Specialist

The cost management specialist plays a crucial role in the financial estimation process for large-scale projects. This involves assessing quantities, pricing materials, and ensuring accurate cost estimates align with project specifications.

This position requires strong leadership skills to oversee the work of cost managers and collaborate with other departments to ensure project costs are controlled and competitive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the cost estimation process for projects, ensuring all quantities and material costs are accurately assessed.
  • Review and validate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation.
  • Oversee and mentor junior cost managers, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of their work.
  • Prepare final cost reports and support the estimation manager in presenting estimates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in cost management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in cost management and estimation software.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and team management skills.
