Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance and operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

You will also be required to prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards, assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings, process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required), and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work closely with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (Australian clients or companies preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
