Senior Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our database administration efforts.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Database Installation, Upgrade, and Migration: Ensure smooth deployment of SQL Servers across various environments.
- SQL Server Patching: Apply timely patches or service packs to maintain optimal database performance.
- High Availability/Disaster Recovery Solutions: Configure robust HA/DR setups to minimize downtime.
- Automated Alerts: Set up notifications to inform the team of any issues.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve locking issues, deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and other problems.
- Incident Management: Collaborate on bridge calls to troubleshoot P1 and P2 incidents.
- DB Mirroring and Always On: Develop expertise in these critical technologies.
- Schema Changes: Execute db schema changes while maintaining controlled development environments.
- Server Configuration and Optimization: Work closely with application developers to configure and optimize servers based on application demands.
- Database Deployment: Handle deployment of database objects to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Performance Tuning: Create missing indexes to enhance database performance.
Added Advantage:
- Certifications in SQL Server or experience with cloud-based solutions will be considered an asset.
