Job Title: AI Subject Matter Expert (SME)

The role of the AI Subject Matter Expert is pivotal in driving the strategic implementation and governance of AI tools such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic. This position ensures that AI initiatives are executed with precision, security, and compliance, enhancing technological capabilities and maintaining competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure data privacy controls to prevent sensitive data from being trained on AI models and enforce zero-retention policies.
  • Deliver comprehensive audit logs and compliance reporting for OpenAI usage to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Implement robust guardrails and moderation tools to enhance AI application security and reliability.
  • Analyze model performance and usage metrics, producing regular reports for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Optimize prompt engineering and evaluate cost/performance trade-offs to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to API calls, latency, and integration failures.
  • Maintain an internal admin guide with setup/configuration steps, governance rules, and best practices for AI tool management.
  • Develop knowledge bases and wikis for developers and end users to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Deliver training sessions for IT staff to expand their expertise in managing OpenAI tools.
  • Serve as the escalation point for OpenAI-related incidents, providing expert-level support and resolution.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to expand safe and responsible AI use across the organization.

Primary Deliverables:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for AI tools and oversee overall governance.
  • Address and resolve issues related to Default Project spaces.
  • Ensure AI environment and data security by mitigating open business risks.
  • Enable AI tool functionalities for third-party applications.
