Product Owner Role in Healthcare Innovation

We are seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our team and play a critical role in defining and delivering cutting-edge healthcare products.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry, working closely with engineering teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for healthcare-focused solutions, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to gather comprehensive insights into market needs, customer pain points, and regulatory requirements within the healthcare domain.
  • Product Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the highest value features and epics. Write clear, concise, and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Liaison between Business Stakeholders and Development Team: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., clinicians, operations, sales, legal, compliance) and the development team, facilitating effective communication and managing expectations.
  • Participation in Agile Ceremonies: Participate actively in all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), providing guidance and clarification to the development team throughout the sprint cycle.
  • User-Centric Design: Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centric design that meets the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, ONC) and ensure product features are compliant.
  • Product Launch Support: Support product launches, including contributing to training materials, marketing collateral, and internal communications. Monitor product performance post-launch and identify areas for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience as a Product Owner or a similar product management role, with a significant portion of this experience directly within the healthcare industry.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical processes, regulatory landscapes, and common healthcare IT systems.
  • Agile Experience: Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a plus.
  • Business Acumen: Exceptional ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, concise, and actionable user stories.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
