Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team at Dentsu. As a key member of our software development lifecycle, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure that our software meets business and technical requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software releases.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test cases and test plans for web and mobile applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
- Identify, report, and track defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and optimize automated testing strategies to ensure scalability and reusability across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with AEM developers and content authors to test AEM components, templates, and workflows, validating functionality, performance, and security of AEM-based applications.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing input on quality metrics and contributing to continuous process improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date records of testing activities and ensure proper documentation of testing processes, contributing to the creation and maintenance of testing guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and experience testing AEM-based applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
- Familiarity with performance testing and tools like JMeter.
