Procurement Leader Role

A key position in our organisation is the Procurement Director, responsible for overseeing procurement processes to ensure consistency, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

This role involves leading and managing teams of subordinate staff, including purchasing operations and logistics. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, with a strong focus on delivering results and exceeding expectations.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in business management, engineering or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with previous experience in a similar role.

The ideal candidate will possess assertive communication skills, be able to multitask and have a strong understanding of financial institution clients' needs, particularly in relation to risk and resiliency.

In this role, you will lead and grow your team by equipping them with the right training and supporting them in achieving accreditations. You will also work closely with line managers to manage recruitment, performance planning and evaluations, succession planning and pay and reward programs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of market trends, current prices and fair rates for goods, planning policies and procedures for efficient purchasing and inventory management, and monitoring and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers.
