Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our data team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation, updates, and deletion of master data.
  • Manage users and user roles within the data system.
  • Provide quality assurance for imported data, working with quality assurance analysts as needed.
  • Commission and decommission data sets as required.
  • Process confidential data and information in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain reports and analyses.
  • Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Assess and implement new or upgraded software and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited university or college.
  • Work experience as a Data Analyst or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
