Job Description:

This key role involves leading the organization's surveillance function, ensuring robust detection, investigation, and prevention of market abuse or misconduct. The goal is to safeguard regulatory compliance and uphold market integrity through vigilant monitoring systems, policies, and cross-functional collaboration.

The job entails supervising in-depth investigations of alerts, suspicious trades, and breaches, timely escalating findings to compliance, legal, or regulators. It also includes identifying emerging risks in trading patterns, market behavior, or operational processes, and recommending preventive measures.

  1. Design, Develop, Test, and deployment of Surveillance systems; creating comprehensive surveillance framework, SOPs, and driving the selection, implementation, and enhancement of cutting-edge surveillance platforms, analytics tools, and AI-based monitoring systems.
  2. Lead, mentor, and develop the surveillance team; ensure continuous skill enhancement in regulatory and analytical domains, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  3. Benchmark against global best practices, introduce process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless integration with business operations.
  4. Present periodic surveillance reports, risk dashboards, and key metrics to Board Committees and senior management, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • MBA (Finance) or CA/CS degree
  • Minimum 5-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python programming languages
  • Detailed knowledge of equity and equity derivatives markets
  • Strong analytical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and result-oriented approach
