The Director R&D, Lifestyle Nutrition is a key leadership role within Unilever's Foods division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the R&D function for lifestyle nutrition products, working closely with the business head to deliver business growth plans.
The role requires a strong track record of high performance, leading R&D teams in highly interdependent cross-functional leadership teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of innovation processes and portfolio management, as well as entrepreneurial and owner's mindset towards risk-taking and maximizing opportunities from scarcity of resources.
The Director R&D, Lifestyle Nutrition will play a pivotal role in shaping long-term R&D strategy for the lifestyle nutrition business, driving innovation, renovation, and cost efficiency programs. Key accountabilities include delivering category ambition of unmissable product superiority, steering development and delivery of a technology-enabled innovation funnel, and building partnerships internally or externally for Horizon 2/3 science and technology areas required for lifestyle nutrition.
