Senior Delivery Strategist Job Description

A Senior Delivery Strategist is a vital role in our organization, responsible for leading and managing the delivery of projects across various client engagements. They must possess strong leadership skills to prioritize accounts and customer value, allocate resources efficiently, and measure performance metrics.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Account Prioritization: Rank accounts based on strategic importance, urgency, etc., ensuring the most critical ones receive priority attention.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient allocation of personnel, technology, and other necessary resources across the portfolio.
  • Performance Metrics: Use effective KPIs to measure project success and impact within the portfolio.
  • Optimizing Resource Utilization: Monitor resource usage to avoid overallocation or underutilization, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Progress Tracking: Regularly review ongoing project status to ensure they remain on track with timelines and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks impacting the portfolio and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication framework with stakeholders to manage expectations and inform them about project statuses and potential risks.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with service level and contractual obligations.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Accord the right level of urgency to financial planning analysis and budgeting aspects at the project/portfolio level, forward-looking planning on revenue projections, staffing capacity, and reviewing the same periodically.
  • Delivery Teams Performance: Take stock of delivery teams' performance scorecards regularly, ensuring best practices and standards are implemented and followed across services, and work with delivery managers to identify and implement process improvements to drive overall delivery excellence, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
