Key Responsibilities:

To ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, the Tax Manager will:

  • Prepare and file all applicable tax returns, including GST, TDS, corporate income tax, and equalization levy.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Review tax computations, reconciliations, and related workings prepared by the team or consultants to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, implementing necessary changes to compliance processes.
  • Circulate technical memoranda summarizing findings and recommendations to Management on routine compliance hygiene checks.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax issues to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and tax reporting.

Job Description

The Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance. This includes preparing and filing all applicable tax returns, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars, and reviewing tax computations, reconciliations, and related workings.

The Tax Manager must monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, implementing necessary changes to compliance processes. They must also circulate technical memoranda summarizing findings and recommendations to Management on routine compliance hygiene checks.

Additionally, the Tax Manager must supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax issues to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively. They must coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and tax reporting.
