Job Title: Chief Data Management SpecialistAbout the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to oversee the efficient management of our database systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, upgrade, and migrate SQL Servers as needed.
  • Apply patches or service packs for SQL Server to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Set up automated alerts to notify the team of any issues.
  • Work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets to resolve database-related problems.
  • Setup maintenance plans for backups, database integrity checks, rebuild indexes, update statistics, and run all jobs without issues.
  • Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and fix them.
  • Participate in bridge calls to troubleshoot and resolve P1 (SEV1) and P2 (SEV2) incidents.
  • Have hands-on experience with Always On and DB Mirroring.
  • Execute changes to db schema and maintain a controlled development database environment.
  • Work closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands.
  • Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production.
  • Provide daily support for high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases, identifying root causes of production problems and working with developers to resolve them.
  • Work on performance tuning, such as creating missing indexes.
  • Be willing to work in 24X7 projects (shifts).
  • Have experience in scripting using Perl, PowerShell.
  • Have experience in AWS/Azure.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Hold any of the following certifications:
  • SQL Server certifications.
  • Experience with SQL Cloud-based solutions.
Bonus Advantage:

A strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and database architecture would be highly advantageous for this role.
