Job Title: Highly Skilled Network Security Specialist

Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled network security specialist to manage and own support tickets for existing customer services.
  • The ideal candidate will design and implement changes as per client requirements, working closely with the 2nd Line Service Desk team and Solution Delivery team to support customers and configuration tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • This role involves regular communication with existing customers, providing 3rd Line support for incoming customer support queries and escalations from the 2nd Line Service Desk.
  • The successful candidate will take ownership and effectively manage support tickets for incidents, change, and service requests.
  • Key responsibilities include planning and completing projects assigned by the Head of 3rd Line Network Support, documenting customer solutions in CMDB, Visio documentation, and technical summary write-up.
  • Other key duties include DR/Failover Testing, providing support and mentoring to 2nd Line engineers, and supporting the solution delivery team in implementing new customer projects.
  • Daily management includes on-call rota out of hours for high-priority incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have demonstrable knowledge at CCNP (ENT/DC/SP/SEC) or JNCIP-ENT level.
  • In-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting network security devices/protocols is essential.
  • Able to troubleshoot and isolate faults to identify root causes and bring to resolution.
  • Advanced knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols.
  • Experience using firewalls: Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco ASA.
  • Strong knowledge of OSPF and BGP in an ISP environment.
  • Proficient in packet capture and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with Cloud products like Azure / Amazon AWS.
  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider Environment.
  • Basic experience with network automation/programing such as Ansible/Python.

  • Security: Palo Alto, Prisma, Fortinet, Cisco ASA.
  • SD-WAN: Citrix, Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Nuage.
  • Cisco NAC ISE, SD-A/DNAC, DOT1x.
  • Cisco Nexus 7xxx, 5xxx, 2xxx series.
