We are seeking a seasoned electronics expert to spearhead high-voltage design, mixed-signal systems, FPGA development, and foundational expertise in timing, beam control, data acquisition, and power integrity for our scanning electron microscope.

Your Mission

You will deliver the electronics that make the instrument feel instant and synchronized: a common timing spine, responsive beam control, low-noise power, and lossless, high-throughput data capture.

  • Design the timing and synchronization backbone so optics, detectors, motion, and software operate in lockstep.
  • Build mixed-signal boards: beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O.
  • Ensure clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior.
  • Provide diagnostics, fixtures, and logs so issues are obvious and field-debuggable.
Your Expertise

We seek an engineer with a track record of shipping mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear. Strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up are essential; you must also be pragmatic about testability and manufacturability.

  • Candidates should have a collaborative mindset and excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience thinking in interfaces and failure modes is highly desirable.
