Physical Design Engineer

Job Description:

  • Design and develop complex electronic circuits, systems, and processes for the creation of integrated circuits.
  • Plan, design, and execute projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and implement effective methodologies for problem-solving and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in ASIC physical design, synthesis, placement, routing, and verification.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital logic, computer architecture, and VLSI design.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, Perl, TCL, and scripting languages like Ruby.
  • Experience with EDA tools such as Synopsys Fusion Compiler, Cadence Virtuoso, and Mentor Graphics Calibre.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for independent planning and execution of all aspects of physical design, including floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, extraction, timing closure, power analysis, and signoff.
  • Participate in all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to final product validation.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and address technical challenges and opportunities for improvement.
