We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and deployment of medical devices at our facility. This role involves device disinfection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe redeployment after each rental cycle.

  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of medical devices as per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Inspect devices for functional issues post-patient usage and perform minor repairs as needed.

  • Replace components and consumable parts to maintain optimal device performance.

  • Maintain accurate calibration logs and conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs

  • Diagnose electronic control unit issues and perform basic repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with the Research and Development team for advanced repairs or escalations.

  • Update software and firmware as required to ensure optimal device performance.

Device Deployment Support

  • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers when needed.

  • Deploy new devices/rental devices as per requirement and provide basic usage training to nursing staff/caregivers.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions to inform business decisions.

  • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

">

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience servicing medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, patient monitors).

  • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

  • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is beneficial.
