Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Mainframe Developer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems on mainframe platforms.

This role involves working with a range of technologies including Cobol, JCL, DB2, ServiceNow, Jira, Kanban, DFSort utility, CA7, and File Manager. You will also be required to develop, test, and deploy software applications in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex software systems on mainframe platforms
  • Develop, test, and deploy software applications in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with a range of technologies including Cobol, JCL, DB2, ServiceNow, Jira, Kanban, DFSort utility, CA7, and File Manager
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of mainframe technology and programming languages (Cobol, JCL)
  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
