Software Quality Assurance Leader

As a Software Quality Assurance Leader, you will play a key role in driving the development of robust test strategies, automation frameworks, and methodologies to ensure software quality at scale.

You will lead collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, product managers, and project managers) to define and execute quality assurance initiatives that drive business value.

Release planning will be driven by setting software readiness criteria and ensuring seamless production deployment.

Improving testing efficiency is crucial, identifying pain points, providing technical guidance, and automating key workflows will be your focus areas.

Test cases, test scripts, and regression suites must be created and maintained across functional, performance, security, and NFR testing.

Root Cause Analysis for complex issues will be performed, and close collaboration with the engineering team for resolutions will be expected.

Staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating best practices in QA, test automation, and DevOps-driven testing is essential.

Key metrics for software quality will be defined, tracking test effectiveness, defect trends, and continuous improvement areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development in Test (SDET).
  • Hands-on experience in test automation, scripting, and no-code tool creation.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C++, Angular, React, or any modern OOP language.
  • Proven experience in leading QA efforts for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience in Analytics Automation, Performance Engineering, and open-source security tools (preferably ZAP).
  • Experience working on scalable applications, multithreading environments, and MVC architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Patrol (Flutter-based automation), Appium, Espresso, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Ability to define test plans, quality metrics, and test strategies at an enterprise scale.
  • Strong collaboration skills with development and DevOps teams on automation and CI/CD integration.
  • Experience working with external SDET teams to define test expectations and execution plans.
