The role of a Compliance Expert - Regulatory Knowledge Manager is crucial in ensuring that all Know Your Customer (KYC) processes are conducted efficiently and effectively, in line with regulatory expectations.

This expert will provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring that all KYC activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The individual will also be responsible for providing expert advice on KYC-related matters, including regulatory changes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Guidance and Support: The Compliance Expert will provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring that all KYC activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Expert Advice: The individual will provide expert advice on KYC-related matters, including regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Collate Feedback: The Compliance Expert will collate feedback for monthly QA reports from various stakeholders, discuss with KYC makers/checkers and seek support relevant stakeholders and present the final feedback to QA.
  • Process Enhancements: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Escalation: Oversee necessary escalation to relevant stakeholders. Serve as the primary contact for the KYC team in query resolution.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with onshore and offshore teams to drive consistent interpretation and application of KYC requirements.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of KYC processes and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of KYC, financial regulatory environment, and AML risk implications, as well as experience in delivering KYC Due Diligence for global banks with a primary focus on Singapore risk-based approach.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong ability to interpret complex changes in regulatory guidelines and assess impact.
