Lead - MIS and Data Management

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead and manage our centralized Management Information System (MIS) function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable reporting to support decision-making, performance tracking, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MIS Development and Maintenance
    • Design and implement a comprehensive MIS framework covering all land acquisition activities across projects and states.
    • Collate data from ground teams and project sites into centralized dashboards.
    • Generate daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for senior management, highlighting progress, delays, risks, and opportunities.
    • Automate reports and streamline data flows using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint or advanced software.
  • Data Integrity and Governance
    • Evaluate high accuracy, completeness, and consistency of land-related data.
    • Maintain historical records of land deals, ownership documentation, clearances, and legal status.
    • Enforce data entry protocols and quality checks across regional teams.
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Track KPIs such as land parcels acquired, legal clearances obtained, lead time, and state-wise progress.
    • Identify bottlenecks in the acquisition process and escalate them for corrective action.
    • Support target-setting and benchmarking for zonal land acquisition teams.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Coordinate with regional land teams, legal, finance, and project execution teams for data updates.
    • Support internal and external audits with timely data access and reporting.
    • Collaborate with IT teams for system enhancements and integration.
  • Compliance and Documentation
    • Ensure timely submission of reports to internal audit, statutory, and regulatory bodies.
    • Maintain documentation trails for internal governance and due diligence.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Data Science or MBA.
    • 8-12 years of experience in MIS or project control roles, preferably in renewable or infrastructure sectors.
    • Strong understanding of land acquisition processes and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
    Skills:
    • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
    • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
    • Familiarity with GIS tools and land databases is an asset.
