Job Title: Automotive Program Manager

 

Renesas aims to expand its product line for further business growth, and we need to strengthen our organization by enhancing hardware development capabilities.

 

About the Role:

  • Drive project development for automotive MCU products from planning to mass production phase on schedule.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments including customers, software teams, marketing, engineering, finance, sales, and vendors/suppliers during project development.
  • Deploy best program management practices, including bottoms-up planning, dependency mapping, critical path analysis, and risk mitigation using industry-standard planning tools like MS-Project.
  • Monitor project development progress and report status regularly, escalating issues when necessary. Provide regular project updates to senior management.
  • Coordinate and conduct project gate reviews.
  • Take personal accountability to drive projects and deliver them on schedule. Ensure proper project meeting cadence and follow up on action items to resolve open issues.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the engineering sector, preferably in the automotive field.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in hardware development.
  • Able to plan and manage complex projects spanning across multiple departments.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365, including advanced skills in MS Project.
  • Atlassian JIRA and Confluence expertise.
  • PMP/PMA certification is a plus.
  • Confident English speaker in a global business environment.
