Job Title: Cost Controller

 

A Cost Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on project costs to ensure efficient resource allocation and optimal financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Cost Analysis and Control: Conduct in-depth analysis of project expenses to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed variance reports, analyzing causes of deviations between budgeted and actual costs, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Inventory and Procurement Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to control and analyze material and service costs, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Track, record, and monitor fixed assets to ensure proper utilization and maintenance, reducing waste and optimizing asset lifespan.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization: Identify potential risks related to project costs, including scope changes, delays, or unexpected expenses, and recommend strategies for cost reduction and risk mitigation.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate with project teams to track progress and update percentage-of-completion calculations as per industry standards, providing timely and accurate financial reports.
  • Contract and Cost Compliance: Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and project-specific financial regulations, maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cost control and financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyses.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
