Senior Financial Analyst

The Credit Risk Analyst position in our Insurance sector plays a pivotal role in supporting MUFG Securities onshore Credit teams in the US through the credit review of existing and new counterparties.
Responsibilities:- Annual renewals are performed and internal rating scorecards are run to assess the portfolio of Insurance counterparties.
- The annual review schedule is managed, and new counterparty assessments are conducted to ensure compliance with internal rating models.
- Credit ratings are proposed based on analysis and evaluation of individual company performance.
- Support is provided to input credit limits and confirm output with relevant onshore Credit Manager.
- Troubleshooting technical issues involves liaising with technology teams to resolve any discrepancies.
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in reviewing and writing counterparty credit analysis is required.
- Good analytical skills are essential for identifying trends and individual company performance.
- Familiarity with risk management assessment capital adequacy and reinsurance in the insurance industry is necessary.
- A strong understanding of US insurance regulations is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in performing due diligence including regular information gathering discussions meetings with clients as needed is preferred.
- Experience working with stakeholders in an overseas location is also desired.
Education:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent is required for this role.
