Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced FIX protocol specialist to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electronic trading environments and experience working with technical teams.

About the Role:

The FIX protocol specialist will be responsible for external communication with tech teams, as well as involvement in various strategic projects ranging from system improvements to regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • FIX Protocol Expertise: Excellent understanding of FIX protocol (ver. 4.2/4.4)
  • Programming Languages: Experience with any programming language (Java, C++, C, Python)
  • Unix/Linux-based O/S Applications: Must know Unix/Linux-based O/S Applications
  • Databases: Experience working with Databases on writing basic SQL queries- Oracle/SQL
  • FIX Certification: Excellent understanding of the FIX certification process
  • Electronic Trading Environment: Experience working in an electronic trading environment in a FIX onboarding or FIX Support capacity
  • Networking Protocols: Familiarity with networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, and understanding of TCP/IP concepts
  • Asset Classes: Exposure to any of the following asset classes: Equities, Futures, Options, FX
  • Training and Mentoring: Proven experience in training and mentoring junior team members
  • Jira and Confluence: Previous experience with Jira for project tracking, confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications:

  • Scripting Knowledge: Scripting knowledge in one of the following languages: Shell/Python
  • Algorithmic Trading: Familiarity with Algorithmic Trading
  • OMS/EMS Experience: Previous experience with OMS/EMS, exchanges or trading firms would be a plus

Education:

Engineering Graduate from any premier institution
