Senior Data Platform Manager

As a Product Leader for the Data Platform, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of our engineering teams and building a scalable, performant, and reliable data platform.
You will lead efforts to identify capabilities and features needed in the modern data platform, understand consumption patterns for the data by various personas, and set the tone, vision, strategy, OKRs, and prioritization for this capability.
As the voice of the customer with your product team and stakeholders, you will ensure their needs are met, maintain and refine the product backlog, prioritize the backlog to focus on the highest impact work, and foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals.
Core responsibilities include:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of product management experience in data platforms and developer-focused products
- Strongly prefer someone who has worked as a data engineer or data platform engineer for more than 3 years
- Strong understanding of Big Data and Cloud technologies, including compute, storage, and query layers
- Strong ability to influence others without direct authority
- Strong ability to identify and build great relationships with key users, leaders, and engineering teams
- Proactive communication, both verbal and written, is essential
