Distinguished Software Quality Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional software quality engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing quality processes to ensure our products meet specifications for quality, function, and reliability.

The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, methodical, with both agile and software development experience necessary to take our products to the next level with respect to defect rates, automation, and performance.

1. Develop Tools and Tests: Develop tools and tests that create customer experiences delighting customers.
2. Develop Functional Test Cases: Develops and maintains functional test cases, System & Integration Test cases, and test artifacts like test data, test cases, and automated scripts used in SDLC.
3. Execute Manual and Automated Test Cases: Executes manual and automated test cases validating functionalities, code quality, and reports test results, following all formal test architectures and project processes.
4. Track Metrics: Track metrics (e.g., velocity, code quality, defect density across all phases, code review metrics, testing metrics) for each sprint, report the same to management.
5. Document Results: Documents results of testing, including expected behavior, actual behavior, and detailed steps to reproduce any defects.
6. Provide Quality Sign-off: Provides quality sign-off to project teams and executes testing duties as assigned.
7. Configure QA Performance/Load Test Design: Configures QA performance/load test design and execution to ensure high performance software environment under load.
8. Incorporate Client Usage and Feedback: Incorporates client usage and feedback into test scripts to mimic end-user behavior in QA.
9. Diagnose Problems and Report Bugs: Diagnoses problems and reports bugs and enhancements to the Agile squad.

1. Bachelor's Degree in STEM or Related Function: Bachelor's degree in STEM or related function required.
2. 3+ Years of Application Testing Experience: 3+ years of application testing experience.
3. Experience with Use Case Generation, Manual Testing, and Bug Lifecycle Management: Experienced with use case generation, manual testing, and bug lifecycle management.
4. Understanding of Relational Database Models: Understanding of relational database models (relational/document-based) and experience with GUI tools to interact with them (working knowledge of SQL).
5. Experience Working in an Agile Environment: Experience working in an agile environment.
6. Exposure to Using Bug Tracking and Test Case Management Tools: Exposure to using bug tracking and test case management tools (JIRA, Azure TFS, Git).
7. Experience Testing and Working with Multi-Browser and Mobile Device Systems: Experience testing and working with multi-browser and mobile device systems.

16. Experienced with API Testing (JSON, REST): Experienced with API testing (JSON, REST), using tools such as Postman and JMeter (performance testing, and writing scripts).
