Senior SAP Security Architect

SAP security professionals with expertise in designing and implementing robust security solutions are sought after by top organizations. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP security design principles, including role architecture, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

A Senior SAP Security Architect is responsible for managing complex projects in large-scale SAP environments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in delivering SAP security configurations. This includes:

  • Designing, configuring, and maintaining SAP security roles, profiles, and authorizations across ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, and BW.
  • Managing user provisioning, access requests, and license assignments using SAP Identity Management (IDM).
  • Applying position-based access control models where appropriate.
  • Maintaining Firefighter (FF) access via SAP GRC 12.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, segregation of duties (SoD) requirements, and audit controls.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SAP authorization issues, IDM provisioning problems, and SAP cloud access challenges.
  • Supporting security aspects of system maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and new project implementations.
  • Monitoring SAP security logs, identifying potential risks, and taking proactive action.
  • Collaborating with functional, technical, and audit teams to deliver secure and compliant SAP solutions.
  • Preparing and maintaining security documentation, reports, and training materials.
  • Leading and managing large-scale SAP Security design and restructuring projects.
  • Providing high-level support, including complex problem determination, for SAP security across Development, Test/QA, and Production environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in SAP Security, including role design, GRC, and IDM.
  • Experience with security in ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, and related SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based SAP security.
  • SAP security certifications highly regarded.
