Key to unlocking your career in fine-grained access control lies in a Freelance Engineer role that demands expertise in authorization platforms, data governance, and access management.

The ideal candidate will design and implement policies safeguarding sensitive business and customer data across multiple platforms. This includes CRM systems, data lakes, reporting tools, APIs, and enterprise applications.

This position involves responsibilities such as:

  • Designing, implementing, and configuring authorization policies for fine-grained data access controls.
  • Integrating access control solutions with CRM platforms, cloud data warehouses, APIs, reporting tools, and AI/ML models.
  • Supporting the rollout of region- and country-specific access rules, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Collaborating with data, engineering, and business stakeholders to refine access policies and ensure alignment with governance standards.
  • Maintaining data access governance in line with privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Working within Agile delivery environments using JIRA (Cloud for execution, Align for planning).
  • Contributing to integration initiatives across supply chain, commerce, and customer-facing applications.

To excel in this role, you'll need proven experience with authorization platforms (e.g., PlainID or other policy-based access control solutions), strong background in data governance, access management, and compliance frameworks, hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake). You'll also require understanding of enterprise integrations (APIs, applications, notification systems, and reporting pipelines), experience working in Agile teams with JIRA Cloud and Align for project tracking and planning, and strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.

A nice-to-have would be experience implementing regional or country-specific data access policies in global enterprises, exposure to commerce or supply chain data governance, familiarity with security and authorization models such as RBAC, ABAC, and Zero Trust.
