Lead Magento Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Magento Developer to lead our team in designing, implementing, and optimizing Magento ecommerce solutions that meet business objectives and enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Magento developers to design, implement, and optimize Magento ecommerce solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of Magento ecommerce solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and define system requirements.
  • Customize and configure Magento themes and modules to meet business needs.
  • Develop custom Magento extensions to enhance platform functionality.
  • Integrate Magento with third-party applications and systems.
  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure that all Magento customizations adhere to best practices and company standards.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Magento applications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Magento configurations and customizations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and team members on Magento functionality and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Magento and incorporate relevant advancements into the development process.
  • Participate in project planning and management, including task estimation, resource allocation, and project tracking.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all Magento applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Magento Developer with team leadership experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Magento 2 development and customization.
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices and user experience design.
  • Experience with Magento system administration, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Magento or related areas.
  • Experience with Magento integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of other ecommerce platforms and technologies.
