Job Title: OpenShift Virtualization Specialist

This is a specialized role in the field of virtualization and containerization.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing Windows Servers, network protocols, and storage systems.

  • Install, maintain, and operate OpenShift Virtualization environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Understand and adhere to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Manage Windows Servers, including patch management.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  • Manage storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  • Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  • Deploy, operate, decommission, and migrate virtual machines (V2V and P2V), manage the lifecycle of virtual machines in OpenShift and VMware.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.

Continuous monitoring of system performance and security using Prometheus and Grafana is crucial to proactively address potential issues.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in virtualization and containerization.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows Servers and network protocols.
  • Strong understanding of storage systems and technologies.
  • Experience in bare metal server installation and virtual machine management.
  • Ability to work on rotational shifts, including night shifts.
