The Warehouse Operations Specialist oversees centralized inventory management and dispatch planning for a large educational institution. This key role requires expertise in supply chain operations, process improvement, and vendor coordination to ensure efficient inventory control and timely dispatches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately track stock levels, including uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules, ensuring seamless delivery to 150 centers nationwide.
  • Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements to optimize inventory replenishment.
  • Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical versus system inventory to prevent discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to manage replenishment planning and streamline logistics processes.
  • Plan and execute pan-India dispatches within defined timelines, ensuring timely delivery of materials to remote locations.
  • Oversee packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with logistics partners for timely delivery and resolve any escalations that may arise.
  • Monitor shipment movement and ensure zero service gaps or delays.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for academic, non-academic, and regional teams regarding dispatch requirements and material needs.
  • Align with center heads to synchronize material requirements and delivery schedules, ensuring seamless integration of logistics and operations.
  • Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages, implementing swift resolutions to mitigate impact.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations, optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Track KPIs such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare management information systems and dashboards to present data on stock movement, pending orders, and aging inventory, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction through data analysis and expert judgment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate/postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in inventory management and dispatch operations, preferably in the educational sector or retail/e-commerce industry.
