Responsible AI Engineer - Architecture and Assurance

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence (AI) by developing robust architecture and assurance solutions.

This is a foundational leadership position that combines the stability of a permanent position with the upside of equity participation.

  • Architecture & Build
  • Design and lead the development of new systems, including back-end infrastructure, APIs, and lightweight front-end applications.
  • Integrate open-source AI testing and assurance libraries into deployable frameworks.
  • Deliver portable solutions in cloud environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • AI Model Testing
  • Develop and rigorously test AI models against fairness, robustness, explainability, and governance principles.
  • Implement reproducible pipelines for evaluation, benchmarking, and reporting.
  • Create dashboards and artefacts suitable for supervisors, standards bodies, and clients.
  • Collaboration & Growth
  • Partner with global experts to translate complex governance and compliance requirements into practical engineering-led solutions.
  • Contribute to pilots, client delivery, and the long-term technical roadmap of our solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record building, training, and evaluating AI/ML models.
  • Experience developing or integrating AI testing and assurance tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML/AI libraries.
  • Experience with cloud computing and scaling, training, and deployment of AI models.
  • Awareness of Responsible AI frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, self-drive, and ambition to grow into a senior technical leadership role.
  • A collaborative style, valuing kindness, honesty, and humility.
