Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions. Your expertise will be utilized to deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack environments using industry-leading tools such as Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Ceph storage clusters that ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift, or equivalent) with precision and accuracy.
  • Optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for peak performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools seamlessly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions that drive business growth.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments with ease.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Support capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues effectively.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proficiency in OpenStack and its various components.
  • Experience with containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and its associated technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.
