Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Description:

  • Implement Infrastructure via Code: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure infrastructure solutions using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and ARM templates.
  • Strategic Advice and Recommendations: Provide expert advice on trends in public cloud environments and suggest innovative solutions to enhance our cloud capabilities.
  • Integration and Automation: Integrate standardized Azure deployments with orchestration products, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Escalation: Act as the primary point of contact for level three Azure-related issues, providing technical support, fault resolution, and guidance to operational run teams.
  • Requirements Gathering: Ensure effective gathering of business requirements and their translation into suitable solutions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation for design, development, build, and deployment methods, and share knowledge with support teams.
  • Security Hardening and Testing: Collaborate with teams to harden and test security measures, ensuring robust protection against threats.

Key Competencies:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer on Azure Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and comprehensive understanding of public cloud environments and industry trends.
  • Significant experience supporting, designing, and developing public cloud solutions via Infrastructure as Code.
  • Extensive DevOps experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in security hardening and testing, and proven ability in creating accurate documentation.
