Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing and developing high-voltage systems for locomotives and off-highway mining trucks. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in power electronics and control systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing application layer software in C for use in Xilinx Zynq FPGA, Motorola Power PC, and other legacy processor devices specific to inverter control requirements. They will also design, refine, and maintain proper inverter control for various chopper, blower, induction-motor, battery charging, and dual mode applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient algorithms for controlling high-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components with controllers onto locomotive and off-highway mining truck systems.
  • Support the investigation, root-cause identification, and resolution of electric drives SW reliability issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience working with drives and converters, inverters, active front-end rectifier, DC-DC converters using C language for controls.
  • Strong understanding of C, C++, Perforce, MATLAB, and Simulink, with ability to troubleshoot and identify coding structures to mitigate latency, performance, and maintainability.
Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
