Electrical Test Engineer for High Voltage Devices

Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to design and implement innovative test solutions for ultra-high voltage and precision devices on Eagle testers.

This individual should possess strong technical skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.

The ideal candidate will have a background in ATE testing, HW designing and layout, and data analysis. They should be familiar with probe and final test development of high voltage and precision circuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to understand design specifications
  • Develop test plans, create test and characterization programs, and design ATE hardware interface boards
  • Debug and characterize silicon on ATE, correlating results with bench data
  • Analyze silicon results and support failure analysis tasks
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues, and optimize test time
  • Work with the production team to release products to volume production
  • Define and implement test strategies for high voltage and high precision devices
  • Silicon qualification, including qual hardware development
  • Comprehensive device debugging, design validation, and failure analysis
  • Pursue robust and cost-effective test solutions while ensuring product quality

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT), although Eagle experience is preferred
  • Characterization test program and hardware development experience, Production test program and hardware development experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, and Analog test techniques
  • Data analysis skills using Spotfire, DataPower, or an equivalent tool based on STDF
  • Experience with lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, source meters, loads, etc.
  • Background in product engineering activities such as yield improvement and test time reduction
  • Understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Analog foundation skills with a focus on quality work
  • 4-8 years of experience
  • Mixed signal test techniques and experience with developing mixed-signal tests on TI roadmap testers
  • Experience with test programs and hardware offload to TI offshore manufacturing sites
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting in C++, Python
  • Revision control tools experience: Subversion, Git
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills enabling on-time project delivery
  • Able to build influential relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative to drive results
