Job Title: Data Quality Assurance Specialist

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data across various platforms.

\

Your primary focus will be on testing data and business intelligence platforms with mixed SaaS/ERP sources. You will need to have strong SQL skills and test data design expertise.

\

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing test cases, executing SIT/UAT, and validating deployment pipelines. Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Automate is also desirable.

\

To succeed in this role, you should have a deep understanding of data quality assurance principles and practices. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

\

The ideal candidate will have experience with Great Expectations or similar performance testing tools, ISTQB certification, and a strong background in software testing.

\

Responsibilities include:

\
  • Test strategy development: Author comprehensive test strategies covering transformation accuracy, reconciliation, security, lineage, performance, and accessibility.\
  • Automated data testing: Build automated data tests using SQL assertions and expectations, regression packs for DAX/measures, and dataset-level contracts.\
  • Execution and defect management: Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), manage defects and traceability, validate deployment pipelines, and ensure release readiness.\
  • Power Platform utilization: Leverage Power Automate for defect routing and alerts where appropriate.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Experience with data/business intelligence platforms: Strong experience testing data and business intelligence platforms with mixed SaaS/ERP sources.\
  • SQL and test data design expertise: Proven ability to design and implement effective test data solutions.\
  • Test management/reporting tools: Experience with test management and reporting tools, including an understanding of privacy and access controls.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Great Expectations or similar: Familiarity with Great Expectations or similar performance testing tools.\
  • ISTQB certification: Hold ISTQB certification.
