Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing design concepts for wooden furniture and upholstered products.
  • Staying up-to-date with product design trends and market analysis.
  • Working collaboratively with labour and operations teams on product sample creation and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring quality control and setting standards for finished products.
  • Exploring materials for optimal performance and aesthetics.
  • Utilizing 3D modeling software tools such as Rhino to create pre-production renders.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in design from NIFT, NID, or equivalent institutions.
  • Hands-on experience in design development, particularly in home decor, furniture, and craft clusters.
  • Proficiency in working with various materials, including wood, metal, terracotta, fabric, leather, and bamboo.
  • Production coordination experience with craftsmen and medium/large-scale factory production.
  • Understanding of production schedules, processes, and vendor coordination.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Persuasion and communication skills for effective collaboration with designers, clients, and craftsmen.
  • Technical skills in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/3D Max, and other relevant software.
