Senior Associate/Principal Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate/Principal Associate to join our Corporate and M&A Transactions team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring a Senior Associate/Principal Associate in Corporate and M&A Transactions at Delhi location.
  • A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record (Add an advantage: LLM/CA/CS)
  • 4-8 years of experience in the corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm(s)

Key Skills Required:

  • Transactional experience: M&A, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, corporate commercial transactions, and strategic corporate transactions.
  • Advisory experience: on corporate laws, regulatory or sectoral laws and compliance related.
  • Well-versed and good understanding of corporate laws, including Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) laws, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, Industrial and Labour Law(s), Data Protection Laws, Legal Metrology Act, 2010 and substantive laws for dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Able to manage assignments independently, end-to-end, including negotiations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current changes to law and jurisprudence.
  • Able to deliver work products within specified timelines, including in case of tight deadlines.

Other Key Attributes:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be articulate.
  • Ability to interact with clients confidently and with legal knowledge on a subject.
  • Good team player, ability to train and coach younger associates.
  • Client management.
  • Analytical ability: able to analyze laws, judgements and apply the same for practical use.
  • Good turnaround time, detailed-oriented, willing to get to the bottom of a problem.
  • Tech-savvy and able to use the computer efficiently.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and commitment to work ethics.
  • Excellent research skills, active participation in Knowledge Management, writing external and internal articles and papers.
  • Conforms to Firm's policies.
  • Contribute towards business development and work based on the business plans agreed with reporting partner.
  • Commercial acumen (business lawyer).
