Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned reliability engineering professional to lead the development and implementation of high-performing systems.

As a Site Reliability Engineer Lead, you will oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of our critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with software engineering teams and driving automation strategies.

This is an opportunity to shape our reliability and performance capabilities, developing and implementing solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Reliability Engineering:
  • Maintain high availability and reliability of critical services through proactive monitoring and incident response.
  • Define and implement Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify and resolve system inefficiencies and performance bottlenecks.
  • Incident Management:
  • Establish and improve incident management processes and on-call rotations.
  • Lead root cause analysis for high-priority outages and drive post-incident reviews.
  • Implement actionable insights to prevent recurrence.
  • Automation & Tooling:
  • Develop automated solutions to reduce manual operational tasks.
  • Enhance system observability using metrics, logging, and distributed tracing tools.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Partner with software engineering teams to improve application reliability and infrastructure scalability.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of SREs.
  • Promote SRE best practices and foster a culture of reliability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of high-performing systems.
  • Oversighting the design, deployment, and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
  • Driving automation strategies and enhancing system observability.
  • Establishing and improving incident management processes.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of SREs.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Proven experience in cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform / Helm / Ansible.
  • Proficiency in Java and expertise in distributed systems, databases, and load balancing.
  • Understanding of metrics-driven approaches for system monitoring and alerting.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Proven track record in handling incidents and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with experience in database optimization, Kafka, or other messaging systems, autoscaling techniques, and previous leadership roles in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering will be highly valued.
