We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Genpact. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the AP function, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements.

This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase orders, non-purchase orders (FI), and e-invoices according to established procedures
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Produce daily production plans and allocate inflow volume to team members
  • PAY vendors by monitoring contract/PO terms, discount, scheduling, and preparing checks/Fund Transfer Orders, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
  • Process travel and expense reports of employees by receiving and verifying expense reports for advances and receipts
  • Good knowledge of Excel reports like Pivot tables, formulas, formatting, and cleansing data
  • Resolve queries like wrong posting, reversal, and corrections
  • Support team members in processing corrections by clarifying their doubts and confusions
  • Ensure SOP's are reviewed frequently and the latest updates are incorporated post-client sign-off
  • Maintain 100% accuracy of invoice processing and monthly reports
  • Report taxes whilst processing region-specific invoices as per the requirement
Requirements:
  • University graduate in any discipline
  • Bachelor/Master of Commerce or Business Administration preferred
  • Relevant work experience in AP preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Sound knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Practical knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Practical knowledge of Reporting and Service Now preferred
  • Understanding of Source to Pay process a plus
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Drive to achieve results and deliver on goals
